Itinerary until March 2022

Day 1 – SUNDAY

Costa del Sol – Tarifa – Tangier – Fes (597 km)

Departure from the Costa del Sol to Tarifa, arrival and boarding onto Tangier crossing the Strait of Gibraltar.

In Morocco, meet the guide and continuation. Stop in Larache for lunch (not included). Like many other populations in this northern parts of the Atlantic coast, Larache has a very quiet life during the winter, but during the summer Moroccan tourists plague the beaches. This small town is characterized by being a good place for fishing for abundance and quality. Then the route continues to Fez, arrival and distribution of rooms.

Dinner and accommodation.

Day 2 – MONDAY

Fes

Breakfast and departure to start the visit of this old city with its 785 mosques and splendid Medina (old city), is the intellectual and religious capital of the country.

The tour begins with the exterior of the Royal Palace and its 7 doors, Dar El Makhzen, the former residence of the Sultan, the Bab Bojloud that decorated with glazed ceramic blue (the color of Fes) color green (the color Islam) gives access to the walled enclosure of the Medina (old city), the largest in North Africa and declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco. During this maze of more than 2,000 seats, streets and alleys that branch incessantly, keeping some of the most beautiful buildings in Morocco: palaces, madrasas, mosques, gates, fountains, which pleasantly surprise visitors.

Es-Seffarin square will travel with its spectacular fountain beautiful ceramic and which will engraved in the marble the lis flower (fleur de llis), symbol left by the French prisoners who worked in construction in the sixteenth century; the Karaouine Mosque, the most famous of the city with its famous Friday prayers, the Muslim holy day, built in the ninth century and is the oldest religious education center. Day 3 – TUESDAY

 

Fez – Meknés – Marrakesh (530km)

After breakfast we depart for Meknes, the former Berber capital located in the heart of the Middle Atlas and chosen by King Moulay Ismail as an imperial seat in the 17th century.

Take a panoramic sightseeing of the city, where still remain great ruins of its splendor: 40 Kilometers of walls, in which the door of Bab el Mansour stands out, one of the most beautiful in Morocco. Stop in route for lunch (optional) and continue to Marrakech.

Arrival of rooms, dinner and accommodation.

Day 4 WEDNESDAY

Marrakesh

Breakfast. Marrakesh city tour, imperial city that provides features of its historical past: The Mosque of the Koutoubia or booksellers whose minaret, of great beauty, is the symbol of the city; the exceptional Mausoleum of Princes Saadianos sixteenth century and the sumptuous Bahia Palace, built in the nineteenth century by hundreds of artisans of Fes.

Visit the Medina (old town) where they can stroll through its Zocos where a thousand and craft products offered to visitors to finish in the fascinating world of the famous Square de D’Jemaa El Fna where storytellers, charming snakes, jugglers, dancers, etc … constitute a real “court of miracles”.

Retourn to the hotel for lunch. Do not forget that night in Marrakesh is also special: Possibility of an excellent show dinner at Chez Ali “Fantasy” complex.

Day 5 – THURSDAY

Marrakesh – Casablanca – Rabat (320km)

After breakfast we headed to the capital. On the way stop in Casablanca, “The filmy” economic capital of the country with more than four million people. This city combines its modern buildings art-nouveau or art-deco with the old buildings of the thirteenth century, when it was known as “Dar El Baida” (the White House). See Mohammed V Square, the Cathedral of Notre Dame, the boulevard Anfa and exterior of the impressive Hassan II Mosque, whose construction worked more than 3,000 artisans, only the Meca reaches more importance and size. Free time in the popular Corniche of Ain Daib (promenade) for lunch (not included) then to Rabat. Arrival and distribution of rooms, dinner and overnght.

 

Day 6 FRIDAY

Rabat – Tangier (250km)

Breakfast and departure. Rabat is one of Morocco’s imperial cities, founded in the twelfth century by the Almohads and today besides being the administrative capital of the country is also the official residence of King Mohamed VI. Visit the exterior of the Royal Palace, La Tour Hassan rising dominating the forecourt of the mosque unfinished with more than 200 columns; Mohammed V Mausoleum built in memory of the Sultan that gained independence in the country and where the royal guards whear in flamboyant dressings at entrance. Finally we will have some time to see the beautiful Kasbah of Oudayas, fortress located on the Buregregs river bank. Lunch en route (optional).

Arrival in Tangier and rest in the hotel.

Accommodation.

 

Day 7 – SATURDAY

Tangier–Tarifa–Costa del Sol (198km)

Breakfast and departure from the hotel to board the port and cross the Strait of Gibraltar back to Spain. Transfer back to point of origin.

Farewell of our staff and end of the services.

 

OBSERVATION:
We can add extra night on the last day of the trip, however you will miss the Ferry and transfer to the Tour start point. This option is ideal for customers arriving by flight to Tangier airport and needing an extra night at the destination to fit in with the departure day of the flight. In this case, we would include a transfer to the airport. However, it is essential to communicate with Almanatour, when booking the departure time of the return flight.

The reservation is made with a base price from Algeciras / Costa del Sol. If you want to leave from Seville, Jerez Cadiz or Granada you can choose this option once you fill in your information in the reservation form. The supplement will be adjusted to the amount of the reservation.
