Will I need to have a valid passport to travel?
Yes. A valid passport (Spain) is required for this trip.

Is it better to exchange my money in Spain or will I be able to exchange it there?

Desert Trip from Algeciras 6 days

The Imperial Cities of Fez and Meknes, Erfoud and the Dunes of Merzouga

DAY 1 : OPTIONAL transfer from different points of origin and reception by our staff at the Port of Algeciras. High speed boat crossing to Ceuta. Upon arrival, accommodation in coach and border formalities. We will continue our journey to Fez, founded in 789 by the Idrisid dynasty, considered the major cultural and religious center of the country, and one of the four imperial cities along with Meknes, Marrakech and Rabat. Dinner and lodging.

DAY 2 : Breakfast and departure to Meknesone of the four imperial cities of the country, capital of Sultan Moulay Ismail in the seventeenth century, and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1996, where we will take a tour of the city. guided walking tour of its interesting medina and its famous Bab Mansour gate. DAY 3 Breakfast and continuation to Erfoud, also known as “The Desert Gates”. Crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains we will reach Azrou, an alpine village famous for its cedar forests, which are also home to Berber monkeys, also known as Gibraltar monkeys. We will continue our journey through Midelt, crossing mountains and discovering places like the Ziz Valley, its flow of palm trees and kasbhas are a unique landscape that will accompany us to Errachidia. We will continue to Erfoud, known as “The Gates of the Desert”. Upon arrival, room distribution, dinner and lodging.

DAY 4 Breakfast and departure from the hotel in 4×4 vehicles with driver to visit the Merzouga Desert, also known as Erg Chebbi, and characterized by its huge dunes of reddish tones dotted with some oases and small nomadic settlements. The visit also includes the fossil quarries, since millions of years ago this desert was submerged in the ocean. In the early afternoon we will leave all together on camels to contemplate the spectacular sunset on the dunes. Dinner and overnight in tents (bivouac).

DAY 5 Sunrise call and breakfast. We start our return trip to Fez. We will enter the Ziz Valley, one of the most beautiful natural areas of Morocco, a canyon through which once ran with enormous force the course of a great river from the High Atlas, and whose erosion can still be seen on the tops of the mountains. At the bottom of the valley grows a beautiful palm grove of 20 kms long dotted with mud houses and small kasbahs, which we can see from one of the viewpoints where we will make a stop. Upon arrival in Fez, transfer to the selected hotel, dinner and overnight.

DAY 6 Breakfast and start the return trip to Ceuta. Border formalities and late afternoon boarding to Algeciras. FIN DE NUESTROS SERVICIOS.
