Itinerary
We will leave in the early hours of the previous night by transport to the Port of Algeciras. Board a ferry boat to the city of Ceuta. Upon arrival, we will make a panoramic visit of Ceuta: the monumental ensemble of the Portuguese Royal Walls, the Fosso de São Felipe, Africa Square, and Mount Hacho. Lunch and border clearance service.
Short visit to the Medina of Tetuan. The Jewish Quarter, Hassan II Square and the Royal Palace (exteriors). We will also have the opportunity to visit the city’s most characteristic zocos and markets. Transfer to the hotel, dinner and accommodation.
Today is the day to head towards the Atlantic Coast, we will visit the fishing village
Assilah
fortified by the Portuguese, is a small village that enchants all visitors. After touring its small and beautiful Medina, where we will appreciate the beautiful Arabian Gates and the remains of the Walls , we will proceed to Lunch.
In the afternoon we visit the city of
city of Tangier.
Our visit begins at Cape Espartel where we can appreciate all the splendor of the Atlantic Sea in its cliffs. We will make a brief stop to ride camels on the beach** in Tangier.
Our visit will take us through the boulevard Pasteur, the Place de France and the diplomatic quarters until we reach the city center where we will take a stroll through the Medina and its markets and zocos, a moment to practice the famous haggling. Return to the hotel at the end of the day for dinner and accommodation.
Breakfast and continuation of the
journey to the blue city of Chaouen
in the valley of the Rif mountain range. Its name, which in the Rif dialect means “horns,” alludes to the two mountain peaks visible from the city, founded in 1471 by Muslims and Jews exiled from Al-Andalus. These mimic the narrow, irregular design of the Andalusian villages, and have whitewashed their houses in blue tones, a custom that their current inhabitants preserve.
There will be a walking tour starting with the exteriors of the Alcazaba and the octagonal mosque, located in Uta Hammam Square and crossing the entire medina we will go up to the Ras Al-Ma spring, to the north and beyond the walls that surround it.
After the visit, lunch in a local restaurant and free time to enjoy the city and do your last shopping. At the time indicated by the guide, we will resume our transportation to return home.
For organizational reasons we can change the order of the visit.
** The stop for riding the Camels can be on the beach or on the mountain, depending on the weather conditions (wind and rain).
