Spectacular scenery that will take us to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, famous for being the scene of more than twenty films, such as “Babel” and for being the best preserved of Morocco, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. After lunch we will continue to Ouarzazate if you are interested, the film studios where many famous Hollywood movies have been filmed. Then we will meet the village of Skoura, located in the heart of the valley of palm trees, our route continues through the valley of the Roses where one of the most fragrant species of roses (the damask rose) is cultivated. We also know the gorges of this valley
commonly known as “Fingers of the monkeys” or “Brain of Atlas”.

We continue to the Todra Gorges, located on the eastern side of the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco, the Todra Gorges are world renowned for being one of the most spectacular rocky canyons.
These gorges are located only about twenty-five kilometers north of the city of Tinghir, the road leading to the gorges offers beautiful landscapes, such as Assoul or Ighri as well as a beautiful view of the majestic palm grove. We continue our way to the desert. Lunch en route.

Day 04- Merzouga-Khamlia-Visit to the nomads-Merzouga.
After breakfast, we will make the great tour of the dunes passing through: the 2 oasis of Merzouga, the nomadic deposit by the desert routes, stop in Khamlia, between Merzouga and Taouz or also called the village of the blacks located in the shadow of the dunes of Erg Chebbi.
It is a village of just over 300 inhabitants, people of much darker complexion due to the mixture of Berbers, Arabs and different tribes of sub-Saharan origin. In Khamlia the largest tribe are the Bambaras. They are also called Gnawas, which is the name given to the descendants of slaves who came from black Africa. Their ancestors were brought as slaves from Central and West Africa, across the Sahara, in the caravans that came to southeastern Morocco.
In the 50’s and 60’s they began to settle, together with Berber nomads, in villages or in the growing urban centers. Thus was founded Khamlia, where today the main economic source is agriculture, livestock and, lately, also tourism. There will be the opportunity to visit some nomadic families and learn about their way of life. In these visits we suggest if you can bring clothes, things for children such as pencils, notebooks, or just give them a few dirhams, dinner and accommodation in tents with private bathroom.
