The total route of the trail is 7.7 kms., Of which 4.8 kms. They are accessible and 2.9 kms. of catwalks.
It is a linear Route, that is, the start and end point is NOT the same.
Without a doubt, it is one of the most beautiful excursions that you can do in Malaga.
One of the highlights of the visit is the Crystal balcony. Almost 100 meters high on a projection of the wooden corridor, this incredible viewpoint has been created with the new construction.
At the entrance there is no sale at the box office, therefore you must buy your ticket in advance.
Entry is allowed to people over 08 years old. People with reduced mobility cannot do the route.
Trekking poles, selfie sticks, even umbrellas are prohibited.
The route is linear. The north access is where the south access begins and ends. You can not approach the entrance by car, you have to walk at least 2 km. Therefore, we recommend that you arrive well in advance. The tickets are with a fixed schedule and if you are late you will have a problem getting in.
At the end of the tour you must take the shuttle bus to return to the starting point.
The stop is just at the end of the path, the price is 1.55 euros per person (payment by bus).
The bus leaves every 20 minutes and the journey also takes about 20 / 25 minutes approx.
The bus makes stops on the road, at two or three points until reaching the El Kiosko restaurant.
We have an excursion that leaves from El Chorro, at Hotel La Garganta. In this case, you take the bus when you arrive, to make the route and finish where you have left your car.
The most comfortable is to park in one of the car parks on the road before reaching the kiosk. The price of parking is 1.50 all day. To find this point, I recommend that you put the location of the kiosk restaurant in your GPS. route is linear. At the end of the tour you must take the shuttle bus to return to the starting point.

Its name dates back to 1921, when King Alfonso XIII crossed this path after the inauguration of the Conde de Guadalhorce reservoir. It was then that it began to be called El Caminito del Rey.
In 2014, rehabilitation works began for the regular traffic of visitors. A year later, a 7 km route was opened to the public without any risk to pedestrians.
